The Gahanna Lincoln High School Lions Golf team participated in the Pickerington North Lady Panther Invitational on August 8, 2025, at Blacklick Woods Golf Course in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Competing in the varsity girls category, the Lions showcased a significant improvement, beating their previous year's score by 30 strokes. The tournament featured an 18-hole stroke play format in which the team scored 364, earning them an 8th place finish.
Among the standout performers from the Lions was Eliza Mercer, who secured the runner-up medalist spot with an impressive score of 76. Emma Mizer also made notable contributions by placing on the second team with a score of 83. Furthermore, Lillian Dimmerling achieved a personal record with her score of 93, adding to the team's overall strong performance.
Expressing his pride in the team's achievement, Girls Head Coach Taylor Funkhouser noted, 'It was a great day for the Lady Lion golfers today in the Pickerington North Lady Panther Invitational. The team beat their score from last year by 30 strokes.'
